Terrie Overholser, RN, OD
Terrie Overholser received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in Houston, Texas - with magna cum laude honors. She continued her optometric training with a fellowship at Miami's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute - consistently ranked one of the top eye hospitals in the world. Here she received training in ophthalmologic co-management, glaucoma, ocular disease, trauma, retinopathy, laser surgery, and cataracts. Prior to her eye training, Dr. Overholser received a bachelors degree in Nursing from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She was a registered nurse in Ohio and Florida for more than ten years.
Dr. Overholser has 15 years of extensive clinical experience in eye care - including adult and pediatric eye examinations, eye surgery co-management, and evaluation and treatment of eye disease. As an optometry student, Dr. Overholser was inducted into the Gold Key Honor Society, and received numerous clinical excellence awards for patient care.
Florida licensed and board certified in ocular pharmaceutical agents, Dr. Overholser's training and experience allow her to diagnose, treat, and manage or co-manage all eye conditions.
Dr. Overholser has cared for patients in the Ocala and Central Florida area since 1999. Her previous practice was located in Tampa, Florida. She currently has office hours Monday through Friday. |
